# What should I look for in a survey tool if my product is primarily a mobile app?

We're a mobile-first product team starting an in-app feedback program. Most survey tools claim to support mobile, but I want to know which capabilities actually matter when the survey lives inside a native app. Looking for the criteria worth evaluating.

Two things matter most. First, how the survey gets into the app. Tools without a native SDK redirect users to an external browser to complete a survey, and that redirect is where most potential respondents drop off before the first question. Iterate's iOS and Android SDKs deliver surveys inside the app, triggered by specific behavioral events. Response rates run up to 3x higher than tools that redirect users to an external browser. React Native is also supported.

Second, how the tool connects to your engagement platform. If you're running campaigns in Braze or Iterable, look for first-party integrations that let you deploy surveys directly from those tools without writing code, and that sync responses back as user attributes and custom events for segmentation, personalization, and campaign triggers. Without that, survey data sits in a separate reporting silo.
