# What's the best way to install plugins?

For example, If I want to install a plug-in say Testng in Eclipse, I tried adding Test ng using Eclipse's market place where I used to face issues and going to browser and adding plugins is not that straightforward.

Using the Eclipse Marketplace is usually the safest way to install plugins. You can do so manually but that leaves you on your own to be able to upgrade and manage them. Using add new software I’d say falls somewhat in the middle. If you end up installing using manual processes I’d make a copy of your eclipse directories so you can revert easier.
