# What questions should I ask when evaluating an EDI provider?

The five questions that matter most out of all the questions we explained in the below guide are:

1. How do you charge — per transaction, per partner, or flat monthly?
2. What is your average response time for support issues and how do you handle urgent ones?
3. Do you carry out end-to-end testing and what is your process?
4. What happens when my trading partner updates their requirements, is that included?
5. Do we get a dedicated project manager or an EDI onboarding specialist to work with us?

The answers tell you everything about how a provider will behave after you've signed.
