Hi Hannah, I really liked your article. I was wondering for people who have a very small marketing budget, where do you suggest they start out? We are a tiny company and I'm the only one on marketing right now and have kind of been thrown into it. What's the best channel to start with?

Hi Philena, great question! For a company with a small marketing budget, you should focus your efforts on defining and really getting to know your target market first. Your target market should be small and specific, but not too small that you aren't able to make a solid customer base out of it. Select the channel that will give your company the best reach by determining your target market's behavior and where they spend their time. The channel you select will ultimately depend on your target market, but low budget channels you should look into are email, SMS, and social.
