WPS Office is used for creating, editing, and managing office documents, basically all the day-to-day work you'd do in Microsoft Office, but free.

Main uses:

1. Document writing - WPS Writer
   Typing reports, essays, resumes, letters, notes. Like Word. Has spell check, templates, track changes.

2. Data & calculations - WPS Spreadsheets  
   Budgeting, grades, expenses, charts, formulas, tables. Like Excel. Used by students, small businesses, accountants.

3. Presentations - WPS Presentation  
   Making slides for class, meetings, or client pitches. Has animations, transitions, templates, speaker notes.

4. PDF work - WPS PDF  
   Reading, annotating, signing, merging, splitting, converting, and scanning docs to PDF. OCR can pull text from scanned papers.

5. Collaboration & storage  
   Save to WPS Cloud, sync across phone, PC, Mac, and edit files with others in real time. Works offline too.

6. AI-assisted tasks
   Summarize long PDFs, rewrite text, generate slides/resumes from a prompt, translate documents.
