TheHive is used to manage and respond to security incidents, from the moment an alert comes in to the moment a case is closed.

In practice, that means a SOC/CERT/CSIRT team uses it to receive and triage alerts, assign investigations to analysts, track what's being worked on and by whom, trigger response actions and document everything along the way. It keeps the whole incident response process structured and visible, even when multiple people or teams are involved.

MSSPs and larger organizations also use it to run security operations for multiple clients or business units from a single platform, with each client's data kept completely isolated.
