# What is the network traffic like for the streamers?

I've played with Google Remote Desktop, and it has one massive problem - when installed, it constantly contacts Google's service. So, when I tried it at work to use from home, the security team asked me what I was doing because I have over 700k connections in one day from my machine. I've been tempted to try Splashtop on my work machine, but I'm very hesitant.

I was more concerned about the frequency of pinging the central servers. Like i said.. with Google Remote Desktop, it worked, but it also pinged their servers over 700k times in a single work day. TeamViewer went unnoticed.

Thank you,

Minimal. I am connected all day and it barely up-ticks my bandwidth. They do some tricks with only transmitting the portions of the screen that have changed - very cool stuff.
