# What is the maintenance like for a ChatBot?

We are developing a site for a client and they have an interest in adding a chatbot to the site. Have you ever developed any sites that use chatbots? We are trying to figure out if it is worth the investment– how much do they cost, what kind of maintenance/upkeep is required, etc.?

Hi. I have built a couple of sites using a free chat service provided by Zoho. It is called SalesIQ and is free for 2 users. There are a number of WordPress  chat plugins offered for free or for next-to-free. The actual chat services are funneled through the servers and the network of the people/companies who author the chat component. These people/companies perform all of the maintenance.
