# What is the difference between Kisi and Verkada?

Our IT team is comparing Verkada and Kisi for a new office rollout. We're looking to understand how it compares with Kisi, especially around hardware flexibility and integrating with existing systems.

Kisi and Verkada are both modern cloud-based security platforms, but they're built with different approaches in mind.

Kisi focuses on cloud-based access control as its core offering, with visitor management, video surveillance, bookings, and intrusion detection available through the One Security Platform. Rather than replacing your existing technology, Kisi is designed to integrate with it.
One of the biggest differences is flexibility. Kisi's open architecture supports existing electronic locks, third-party hardware, and more than 100 integrations, making it easier to modernize an existing security system without replacing all of your infrastructure. 

Both platforms support mobile credentials on iOS and Android, Apple Wallet, traditional cards and fobs, enterprise security certifications, and cloud-based management.
