# What is the best way to use the Square Payments app?

I would like to receive a push notification each time I get a payment.

The best way to use The square Reader, in my opinion, could be more than one way. 

Firstly,  you do not need the reader.  The fee per swipe is higher without the reader but the convenience factor outweighs the slightly higher fee that square charges. 

Secondly,
The swipe reader is small and very portable, even the chip reader is small and light-weight.  
They're Bluetooth ready and I will say that the cost isn't to great and the product tends to last a lengthy amount of time.
