# What is the best way to upload a new audience with different attributes?

A lot of our audiences have similar people in them but it takes a lot of time to go through each one and add information about them. Is there an easier way to do this besides having it pre-done and loading them all in? Or is it easier to copy/paste lists or actually load a document?

If you have this information included in a CSV spreadsheet, we recommend reimporting the contacts (don't delete them first) and selecting "update existing contacts" during the import process. This is the fastest and easiest way to update bulk contacts.

The best way is to segment your list in the various ways you need to slice the data. Import it into MailChimp. Then pull lists based on the various segments. They should be consistent values so drop-down lists or a select set of terms would be the values you would use. Use an agreed-upon naming convention for your data Salutation, First Name, Last Name is state two Alpha or spelled out. consistency is key
