Always be mindful in saving what kind of files you are uploading in Dropbox. And you must also conduct file/document review of your uploaded items periodically, so that you can delete the possible files which are not so important to you. 

If this fails, you always have an option to upgrade your account. You can also maximize the referral bonuses and other promotions to increase storage quota.
