# What is the best way to present users with billing/charge categories that are not linked to tasks?

Allow users to charge time against a project for billing purposes without associating a specific task to that time.

I think your best bet here would be our manual adding of expenses feature! This will allow you to add expenses to your invoices, without being linked to tasks.
