# What is the best use of Notepad++, except using it as a regular note making tool?

We can use it formatting tool for all the supported languages which help a lot in alignment and correct of code which we write generally

I like it for working with large files. It can open files that are too large for Notepad/WordPad. It also opens any large file much faster. Another thing I like are the find and replace with expressions. For example I can paste a few columns of data and do a find/replace that converts CR/LF into tabs or vice versa to do a quick pivot. It also helps that it shows all characters and I can often find hidden characters that are causing import issues. It's really a great tool for anyone manipulating large data extracts.
