<p>Smart Exam is software used for remote test proctoring. It allows an instructor to make sure that students are not cheating while taking an exam. It can lock the browser so that students are unable to look at other webpages while they are testing. It can be set up with to allow students taking an open book exam to be able to access their books or course material. It can record audio and video to ensure the student is not being fed the answers from behind the computer screen. It can adapt to may different types test contexts. When I took the LSATS our browser was locked down to proctor U only and Smart exam has the ability to not only perform that type of test monitoring, but it can do so much more. </p>
