PROS was an enterprise software company that offers AI-powered pricing and CPQ capabilities, primarily targeting large enterprises with a focus on dynamic and algorithmic pricing optimization. PROS CPQ became part of a larger revenue generation platform specifically for the airline industry. In 2025, Thoma Brava acquired PROS, giving the CPQ part of the platform to Conga. They plan to maintain both code bases in parallel to serve different audience. 

For organizations evaluating CPQ options, the practical question is whether you need a platform that was initially built for pricing optimization platform or whether you need a configuration- and quoting-specific platform with industrial-grade CPQ as a main priority for future development.
