ProEDI is used as an on-premise EDI Translation Software by small and medium sized businesses who want control over their EDI environment with the Support of a dedicated Customer Support Team.  The Software uses an internal mapping utility to tie your backend system files (.CSV Flat files, etc)  to your Trading Partner's EDI requirements per their Implementation Guides.  Works for all X12 and EDIFACT Transactions.  

ProEDI is Communications Independent, but they Re-sell EC Grid VAN Services if you're looking to lower your EDI Communication Costs.  

They are also available to create EDI Maps for you as needed, or train you to write them yourselves for any number of Trading Partners.
