2. Data Analysis : It is possible to fetch data from any databased and writes SQL queries which does data manipulation &amp; data analysis
3. Data Integration : It supports ETL process, it can get data from almost any Microsoft products
4. Reporting : With the help of SSRS, detailed reports could be generated in no time
5. Security : It secures data with the help of encryption, advanced security features and user management features

One of the uses of SQL is to manage relational databases associated with external applications. In my case, I use it with the software app hmailserver and Siemens Teamcenter and Solid Edge. In either case, SQL serves as the database server in which data is stored and organized in a reliable way. This is particularly useful when handling large amount of information for an organization, such a production environment, design libraries, among others.
