GitGuardian is mainly used to detect exposed secrets like API keys, passwords, tokens, and credentials in our code and GitHub repositories. We used it for the HexaFalls website to catch these issues early and keep the project more secure

Hi, it&#39;s used for situations where you accidentally push code to GitHub, where you&#39;ve forgotten to use environment variables for - for example - and some private api key is now exposed and anyone can see it.

Gitguardian reads through your code and checks if such mistakes happened, if they did you get notified by email, and you can solve it asap, so that noone sees it before you do.
