Camtasia is used for recording videos and editing them too. It's a very professional tool and has many available features. It is used by a very famous YouTube Channel WebsiteLearners.

Video editing has been answered here and is the correct answer. I would add that I found it very user friendly and really used the screen recording with transcript quite a lot. When I was in an enablement role I would use Camtasia to quickly record my screen and my video, then I would be able to go in and make some quick edits and add the transcript so people could follow along.
