Access control software is a fundamental component of physical security. As part of an access control system, the access control software is a digital application that allows you to grant and revoke access privileges to sensitive documents, files, rooms, buildings, and spaces. It can be a standalone item for digital security, or you can pair it with physical hardware (e.g., readers and controller) to secure your physical spaces.
High-quality modern control systems are cloud-based but offer offline functionality. These systems usually come equipped with features that benefit the users daily: platform reliability, system security, mobile access, and ease of use.
