# What is a credit in MailerFind, and how many leads can I get with 10,000?

Credits are the unit MailerFind spends every time it looks up a lead, and it is the first thing most people want to understand before picking a plan. How exactly are they consumed, what happens when a profile has no email, and what should you realistically expect from a 10,000-credit month? Posting the answer below for anyone evaluating the product.

A credit is the unit MailerFind spends on each lookup. One credit is deducted per profile searched, whether or not an email is found - some profiles have no email but do have a phone number, website or location, and that data still comes back. With 10,000 credits you scan 10,000 profiles; how many valid emails you end up with depends on the niche and how complete those public profiles are, so a B2B or local-business audience usually yields more than a consumer one. Credits reset every month with your plan and you can buy extra credit packs on top of any plan at any time.
