In mechanical and it's related system integration applications,It is a animation software to get motion to the 3d modelling parts , components and assembly which are modelled in softwares like auto desk inventor, solid works and unigraphics.
As per my industrial knowledge i used for animation to ground support equipment (GSE) which are mostly employed for the accessing of aircraft body structures like fuselage , Horizontal wing, vertical wing called tail and other similar application works.
