# What helps paralegals keep using an AI legal assistant after the initial rollout?

Many firms see strong interest when an AI legal assistant first rolls out, but usage among paralegals can fade once the novelty wears off. I’ve noticed that the tools people keep using tend to differ in how well they fit daily workflows, how much training and support they come with, and whether the time savings are visible in routine tasks. Others get dropped when outputs need heavy rework or the interface adds steps. What helps paralegals keep using an AI legal assistant after the initial rollout, and what made some platforms stick while others were dropped?

One small task that saves time every week would probably do more for adoption than a long feature tour. I'd start with something the paralegals themselves find tedious and include checking and corrections when measuring the time saved.

It would also help to ask people who stopped using it what got in their way. Low usage doesn't necessarily mean they needed more training.
