# What features matter most in silent auction software for galas?

Running a gala is already a lot. The software you choose can either make it smooth or add chaos at the worst possible moment. A few things worth evaluating before you commit:

Pricing model. Some platforms take a percentage of every bid. On a $100K event, that's real money leaving your cause. Flat fee options exist.

Mobile bidding experience. Guests are on their phones. If the bidding interface is clunky, participation drops.
Support. Who answers when something breaks at 7pm on event night? Make sure there's a real human behind it.

Onboarding and setup. How long does it actually take to go live? Ask for a real timeline, not a marketing answer.

Peer to peer and fund a need tools. Auctions are one piece. The best platforms let you run multiple fundraising activities in one place.

Curious what others have found most important when choosing a platform.
