I use ClickSend to send text (SMS) messages from my websites, to users.  ClickSend sends the text messages almost immediately, which is a huge advantage over using an email server to send a message (using an email address for the user's phone carrier).  Email servers generally take a long time (sometimes hours!) to send the messages.  ClickSend is almost immediate.
