DocuSign solves the basic problem of sending and signing digital documents.

The basic function of their platform is to offer tools that allow you to upload/create documents, send them out for electronic signature and get them back.

It gets more complicated when you start using the platform because there are many features and options available for users, not just on DocuSign but also on platforms like PandaDoc or AdobeSign.

There are many template options, collaborative features if you’re working in a team, assigning roles, so maybe someone can only view a document, etc.

You’ll also find that at least 3 types of electronic signatures are offered and that they comply with laws in the US and Canada, the EU, and other places in the world.

DocuSign, and like many other e-signature providers, are solving the problem of inefficient and tedious document workflows in businesses and institutions. Instead of dealing with a mass of physical paper, signing, sending, etc. you can consolidate your workflow and carry out everything you need to do digitally via the internet.
