# What can I monitor with N-central?

What sorts of things will N-central monitor?  Your customers may have a complex collection of mixed vendor hardware, critical applications and cloud services.  Can N-central monitor it all?

N-central will automatically detect almost any IP connected device and with hundreds of built-in monitoring services we can monitor just about anything.  If a service doesn't yet exist, you can build custom monitoring using a built in tool that allows for data gathering through SNMP, WMI, Scripting and Logs.  You can even create automated responses to monitored alerts saving you time and allowing you to respond within seconds to a problem.
