Websphere Message Broker is Enterprise Integration solutions that helps organizations integrate various applications with in their IT landscape to enable seamless exchange of data among them. Primarily IBM Websphere Message Broker are being for 
- Data Transformations (Transforming data from one format to another)
- Data Enrichments (Enrich data by querying a datastore in transit)
- Content-Based routing (Route data to intended recipients based on certain parameters in the message)
- Protocol conversion (Change from one protocol to another say from HTTP to JMS) 
- Filtering (Filtering out certain requests based on certain parameters in the request there by preventing them from reaching unintended recipients)
