Firebase brings together a lot of interesting functions. In my case, the greatest use has been made with Realtime database and Cloud functions.  For our use case, the modification of a database entry automatically triggers a Cloud function that sends a push notification to the client indicating, for example, the status of their subscription.  With Firebase you can do great things without your own infrastructure since its services are in the cloud.
