# What are the best non-linear editors?

Among the non-linear editors that exist, which one is the best?

That's a loaded question.  Which pizza is the best and why?  It's a matter of taste.  Now granted, there are levels for video apps.  Meaning horsepower, features, what and how it uses your system resources, etc.  YES, all of this matters.  Granted, there are some great FREE apps, and then are NOT SO GREAT free apps.  The same holds true for the paid ones.  Avid, Premiere, Davinci Resolve, Vegas and more.  Even Blender is a great app and can do editing.   It also depends on your needs.  The biggest thing is know what you are looking to do and DO YOUR HOMEWORK.  Adobe has gotten things right in some releases.  And ... gotten some things wrong.  Even AVID and had some stumbles.  I hope this helps.  But either way, there are great options out there!
