Benefits: Use real programming languages (Python/JS), reusable constructs, less boilerplate, built-in CI/CD, multi-stack support, and version control.

Drawbacks: CloudFormation dependency makes it slow, steep learning curve, CodePipeline limitations, and AWS vendor lock-in.
