It depend on the language or the library your are using vs for
But there is some default ones like
Auto close tag
Auto rename tag
Prettier
Bracket jumber
Bracket pair colorizer
Indent-rainbow
live server
Live sass compiler if ure using sass
Node snippet if ur using backend node
Path intellisense
React Native tools if ur using react
Settings sync if you want to save your vs code settings
