# What are some good alternatives to Lyssna?

We use Lyssna for quick design tests, but our team increasingly needs video sessions, live moderation and participants who don’t speak English or fit narrow B2B profiles. Which platforms still offer quick-test methods but go deeper on video and recruitment?

Hi, thanks for asking! A few alternatives worth exploring are Maze for prototype testing, Optimal for information architecture research, and Userlytics if you’d like to combine quick design feedback with deeper usability research.

With Userlytics, you can start with a five-second or first-click test, then explore what’s behind the results, all within the same platform. Here’s what that can look like:

- Talk to participants live (a client favorite). You can run moderated sessions with built-in video and live notes, while colleagues observe without being visible to participants.

- Ask more without moderating every session. With the new AI Moderation feature, you can ask contextual follow-up questions during the activities you choose, helping you understand why someone hesitated or what they expected.

- Reach the people you need. Recruit through our global panel, including B2B profiles, or invite your own participants. We also have a Customer Success Team that can help find niche profiles. Transcript translations make it easier to review feedback across languages.

- Keep your familiar testing methods. Five-second tests, first-click tests, card sorting, tree testing, and surveys are all available.

- AI-assisted reporting and highlight reels help you bring the most useful evidence into conversations with stakeholders.

If your team needs both quick feedback and room to dig deeper, we’d be happy to show you how Userlytics could support your research.
