# What features matter most when choosing a DAM for product assets?

Managing product images, videos, documents, and other digital assets can get complicated as catalogs grow. Tools like Bynder, Brandfolder, Canto, Cloudinary, and Adobe Experience Manager Assets are often used for organizing, searching, approving, and distributing digital content, with different strengths around workflows and integrations.

Which features have you found most important in practice: search, metadata, version control, permissions, asset organization, approvals, integrations, or something else?

I’ve also come across UnoPIM, which combines PIM and DAM capabilities so product information and related digital assets can be managed together.

For teams working with product data, do you prefer a dedicated DAM alongside your PIM, or keeping both in the same platform? What has worked better for your workflow?
