TravelBank's Auto Rewards program is the first in the industry that pays you to choose less expensive options. Unlike most services that give you more reward points when you book more expensive options, TravelBank gives you more points when you choose less expensive options, which in turn saves your company money. Each flight or hotel that is below the TravelBank Benchmark will show a rewards value when you book, which allows you to factor TravelBank points into your decision. You can book first, earn rewards when you save, and then expense your purchase later as we auto-generate an expense for your booking.

How does it work?
We use a blend of real-time market rate availability and company policy to provide a TravelBank Benchmark for every flight and lodging option. If you choose an option below the TravelBank Benchmark, you split the savings with your company. For example:

You are flying from SFO to WAS and your TravelBank Benchmark is $500. You decide to take a red eye to save your company money and find a flight for $400. As a reward for choosing a less expensive flight, you will receive $50 in TravelBank points (baked into the cost of your flight at checkout) resulting in 10% savings for the company and money in your pocket to spend in our store - it's win-win!

Once you complete your travel, the rewards you earned for saving your company money will be credited to your TravelBank account and you can redeem them for personal use on a variety of services.

Auto Rewards rewards you for choosing less expensive options when you travel. Below are some quick tips for how to earn the most points when booking through TravelBank:

- Consider flying with a new airline
- Fly early in the morning or later in the evening, instead of between 9am - 6pm like most business travelers
- Book flights with a short layover instead of always flying direct, take the time at the airport to knock out some work (email success@travelbank.com to learn more about getting access to a global wifi network)
- Depart or arrive at alternative airports instead of flying into main hubs
- Even if your company policy allows for business or premium economy, choosing to fly economy is a surefire way to save your company a ton of money and rack up those points while you're at it
- Stay at a hotel with a lower star rating, but just as high user reviews
- Earn even more by choosing alternative lodging (such as Airbnb or Homeaway, especially if traveling with a group) or even ask to stay with friends or family! In the latter case, a $1,000 lodging budget can quickly turn into $500 saved for the company, and $500 in your pocket!

Not ready for Auto Rewards?
No worries! There are a few ways to switch Auto Rewards off.

As a company admin, you can go to Company Settings > Rewards & Budget Policy > Rewards Program > tap None to switch all rewards off, Trip Rewards to toggle on Trip Budgets, and Auto Rewards to keep them switched on for employees

As a traveler, tap the blue banner found at the top of your flight search. Scroll to the bottom of the page and toggle Enable Rewards OFF
