Yes, Smartling’s Translation Management Platform includes custom workflows –groundbreaking functionality that enables large enterprises and fast-growing companies to easily manage complex translation processes. With custom translation workflows, Smartling customers can create as many translation, quality review, and approval steps as needed – from simple translate, review, publish translation workflows to more complicated workflows requiring subject matter experts and discussions over multiple approval cycles. Because Smartling is a cloud-based translation software platform, our workflow solution is centralized and provides role-based access to all participants in the process. Smartling customers have access to our network of professional translators, or they can select the translation services provider(s) of their choice, be it one or several translation agencies, freelance translators, or internal staff.

Smartling workflows are fully and easily customizable. They can have any number of steps, in any order required, and can combine human and automated steps. At any time, users can add or remove workflows and workflow steps, and configure the properties of each step on a project by project and content basis. All this is done in the Smartling dashboard and takes just minutes.
