Topology optimization is a mathematical method that creates a material layout within a given design space, for a given set of loads and constraints, in the most efficient way to meet the required performance targets. The topology optimization in Inspire uses the finite element method of analysis familiar to most mechanical engineers. Traditional finite element analyses allow engineers to check if a design will support the required loads. Topology optimization creates new geometry within your package space using the loads as an input.
