# To synch or Not to synch - that is the question

Does this service require the file sent for storage also must exist in a local directory or can I park files on your server irrespective of its origin? Point being, if you have e.g.a 25 GB SSD and you want to keep everything on the drive in the cloud you are limited to 25GB.....fack?

Thanks for asking this real good question. 

This service requires no local directory storage repository. You can store an unlimited number of files on File Apartment without any sort of local directory limits that would impact your space on File Apartment.
