# Splashtop Remote Support: How do you handle security concerns with remote desktop tools?

I like how simple Splashtop Remote Support makes it to add new computers and how easy it is to get clients connected. I haven’t run into any reason to dislike it so far, but I do worry that a good number of remote desktop applications can be malicious to the PC they’re installed on. How do you evaluate remote support tools for safety before installing them on a client machine?
