# Meta's Threads is Great for Writers on a Web Browser

Threads is made for the desktop format, but at its core, it's a writing platform. Availability within a web browser will no doubt help improve daily active users. It's clean, distraction-free (i.e. no ads), and linear. In my opinion, it's much preferred when compared to the mobile experience. As a writer, it's amazing. As a digital marketer, I hate how hard it is to instantly reach an audience, but hey, nothing's perfect.

Hi Zach,

First I was confused about "Threads" (as there are so many things called "threads"). But I deduced from the post's title you refer to Meta and their latest initiative.

Here (EU) no "Meta Threads" for privacy related matters. What are your thought on "Meta Threads" from a GDPR point of view?

Stay healthy!

Best,

🇳🇱 👋

Mark
