# Simplification of verification

Instead of the current verification system wouldn't it be easier to ask for a credit card code with the guarantee of not charging anything unless user-specified?

Hey Manuel, thanks for your excellent question. I'm not super positive what verification system you're referring to, but if you're thinking of spam checks, unfortunately criminals are often the first to pay, assuming if they pay we'll have to let them send phishing  or spam emails... 

There isn't really a way around this and most ESPs actually have very similar checks. We just decided to be transparent about it for everyone at Sendinblue as we believe spam is also a matter of education in some cases.
