# Security

Does anyone have concerns about security with using gmail?  I personally would not use it for anything that contained personal financial data.

I will never trust Google with anything after finding out the if you click a link in GMail, it makes a round trip to Google's servers before going to the link.  If you use a non-Google browser and turn on redirect warnings, you can see it.  Chrome will not tell you it's happening.

O, even if Google claims they have very secure servers, I would not trust storing any personal/financial information in my gmail account.

That's a great question and one I think only google can properly answer. I would not send any PII through Gmail, if you move to that as your company ESP, I would look for other secure methods to transfer sensitive info between employees.

It can be very disconcerting when you see re-marketed ads in your email about poesonal matters.

No, Gmail is awesome about the way it sorts spam and normal email. It's very secure
