# Retracting a message allows you to rescind a previously sent message!

This feature comes in handy when you've accidentally sent a secure message to the wrong person. As long as the person hasn't opened the message, you always have the option of retracting (or withdrawing) the secure message, so that the person is denied access to the message when they try to open it.
