Learn to distinguish between the trivial and those that truly matter in the grand scheme of your relationship. Reserve your emotional energy for the really important stuff and life decisions. If it doesn&#39;t have a significant impact on your relationship, let it go. &lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Congratulations Kevin, and welcome back into the community! We&#39;ve loved seeing you on some of our virtual events lately!&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I&#39;m not a newlywed, but I did just buy a house with my boyfriend this past winter, which is quite the adulting step! A few things that have been helpful for us:&lt;/p&gt;&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;You&#39;ll never be able to do everything all at once, so be patient!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Have a budget you and your partner are comfortable with&lt;/li&gt;&lt;li&gt;Make a list of small tasks you could easily accomplish vs. bigger projects (we replaced a few door knobs and now want to do them all over the house)!&lt;/li&gt;&lt;/ul&gt;
