Lovely question!

1) Despite it being a "let's say challenging" year, I am satisfied; some difficulties have helped me and continue to help in planning the objectives for (and not only this) the new year!

2) In relation to point 1, although not strictly related, my main goal is "focus."

@Bashir totally agree! It's a nice topic and there are many "curious" examples - for example - "Mark Zuckerberg's gray t-shirts!"

Hi Luca,

I'm in agreement with you. Focus, indeed 'Deep Focus' is the key to getting our main goals completed and maximising possibilities. If we can maintain concentration in these key periods, it can mean a great difference in the outcome of the results achieved,

I felt I could have extended myself more in planning ahead and setting clearer goals, especially during busy periods. I tend to focus on day-to-day tasks and sometimes struggle with balancing both.

To address this, I plan to allocate more time for strategic thinking and improve my ability to switch between task completion and long-term planning.

Hello all,

I'll just chime in with something simple, but yet pretty complicated - I see an area of improvement in how to leverage AI and what it offers within our organization and my personal/role workflows and tasks.

Another great question, Bashir!

Interestingly, I felt that I overextended myself in 2024. While I was able to meet my goals, this created additional challenges.

For 2025, my goal is to streamline and delegate more tasks

Hi MaryAnn, speaking generally, "delegating" seems easy but is very difficult (if done performantly and not to "shirk responsibilities").

This is a topic I have worked on a lot over the years! I'm happy to delve into the discussion whenever you want.

You brought the thought provoking questions this week!

(1) Where did you feel you could have extended yourself? What held you back?

–I would say putting on my planning/forecasting hat a bit more than I've been used to. I tend to be more comfortable in the day-to-day completion of tasks, but I could be better at oscillating between the two.

(2) If you have identified shortcomings, how do you plan to address them?

–It really just comes down to prioritizing helping future me, rather than getting too bogged down with things to help today me. This is different for everyone, but because I am a huge fan of to-do lists (hence the tendency to focus on the day-to-day), I need to force myself to add planning time to my schedule.

Amazing questions, Bashir! I feel like I just looked deep into my soul to answer these :)
