# LinkedIn workarounds

I know LinkedIn API is closed, do you know any workarounds to measure and monitor?

When a data source like Facebook or LinkedIn removes an API (the way the data is shared from their warehouse to someone else’s, like Buffer’s, and the way posts are made to LinkedIn from Buffer), the only workaround is to scrape the site for info. But that’s also in violation of almost every major site’s Terms of Service. So the answer is ultimately, no, there is no legitimate way to get data about LinkedIn social activity as a business, outside of their in-platform analytics view, or if you’re running ads through LinkedIn (that’s a separate API from social publishing and monitoring).
