Personal license keys are available for Citavi for Windows. The license key is entered in the local Citavi installation. 

Per-seat and concurrent licenses are available for Citavi for DBServer. They can be saved on the database server with the Citavi DBServer Manager and are available for users when they’re connected to the database server.
A per-seat license is assigned to a specific user. With this license type, the user can access the database whenever he or she is connected to the database server. 
A concurrent license allows multiple users to work with a single license, but only one person can use the license at a time. Once a user exits Citavi, the license is available again for other users.
Per-seat and concurrent licenses can be combined with one another.
