# Is this automation, a threat to employment of human resource?

Automation is an ease task. But, what if it rules out manpower?

No. Just like industrial automation is not a threat to the industrial workers. Due to industrial automation, human resources are saved from doing the hazardous, laborious tasks. Similarly, the Robotic process automation is to salvage humans from repetitive and uncreative work. While it seems that it is consuming the existing job roles, numerous jobs profiles are created in this decade which were not envisioned earlier.

Hey Ragul! This is—to be completely honest—the question of the next decade. Automation as a tool will take away a lot of the more "trivial" (think keeping the lights on (KLO)) tasks from any given employee's day-to-day work, almost guaranteed. This does have the potential to take a lot of work from positions that handle primarily KLO. What remains to be seen is how companies will respond to this much time being returned to each employee's day. Optimistically, companies will be able to help specialize their employees, increasing the average employee's overall capability and skill set to provide more in-depth or fine-tuned work. Not as optimistically, I think some companies might see KLO automation as a way to reduce workforce size and, resultingly, bump up the profit margin. I suppose the answer, then, is that there's not really a good answer right now. It remains to be seen to what extent companies will either improve or cull their workforces, based upon what gets automated out. Hope this helps!
