# Is there any simple explanation for the occasional crashes during video rendering ?

If you are rendering particularly long videos I found that it helps to have as much "available" RAM as possible.

Thanks. Fortunately the problem hasn't recurred. I do have plenty of RAM.

Do you have enough RAM?  Minimum 16gb if not 32gb.  Are there other programs running that are draining the RAM?  Check all parameters for the production before producing.  Have you saved the file and does it crash when saving?
